8th cycle of the Eurobank - Alba MBA in Financial Services concluded

The 8th cycle of the Eurobank - Alba MBA in Financial Services was concluded with the Final Projects Presentation - the capstone project of this MBA Program, during which participants crafted bold, actionable proposals for organizational growth: Four teams presenting their new venture projects before 50 senior Bank executives, headed by Mr Fokion Karavias, CEO at Eurobank.

Developed during the capstone course, Lean Entrepreneurship, under the supervision of the Academic Director  of the program, Dr. Kyriakos Kyriakopoulos,  and Alba Faculty members, Dr. G. Batsakis and Dr. S. Zarkos, the projects highlighted different avenues for growth for Eurobank through digital transformation and blue ocean, disruptive innovation

Dr. Kyriakos Kyriakopoulos, Academic Director of the Program, describes the evolution of the curriculum of the 8th class of the  Eurobank MBA “The  new Eurobank - Alba MBA, fully redesigned in 2018, promotes experiential learning, agility, extroversion and cooperative mindset, which blends traditional management topics with the latest tools including agile project management, design thinking, fintechs, and lean startup toolkit. With the  new setup of the Lean Entrepreneurship capstone project, students took ownership to generate new business ideas for growth and to network internally for sponsorship and resources. We are proud of this new generation of ‘corporate learners entrepreneurs’ who are prepared to act as game changers who wish to make an impact in Eurobank, in the era of digitization and transformation disruption.”

Commenting on the successful redesign of the 8th class of the MBA, Ms Stavroula Papadopoulou, Head of the Learning Division at Eurobank, states “We needed a program that would be digitally imbued, a vital part of Eurobank Digitalisation Strategy, aiming to reskill and retool a new generation of Eurobank leaders; a program designed as an opportunity to learn and grow rather than just an opportunity to advance. And a programme that would aim to create new waves of disruptive growth, preparing Eurobankers for the future of work, cultivating adaptive learners with agile mindsets»

Reflecting on the evolution of the Eurobank - Alba MBA and the learning partnership that was established in 2003 in order to offer a unique in house MBA, Dean Kostas Axarloglou, comments: “Launching the first class of the Eurobank - Alba MBA in Financial Services in 2003, and recently completing the eighth class of the Program, we take pride of an innovative and unique Program with a significant impact that has already 250 Eurobank executives as graduates.
