Official trip of the FULL-TIME MBA program to KOÇ University, Turkey

According to the formal cooperation agreement between ALBA and KOÇ University, which includes Student and Faculty Exchanges, Mutual Scholarships, Participation in Field/Consulting Projects, Visits to Companies, Joint Research Projects, Joint Public Cultural Events, Joint Conferences, Joint Executive Development Programs, the ALBA full-time MBA-Certificate Program students made a five-day educational visit to KOÇ University of Turkey.

KOÇ University is an English speaking, not-for-profit university of exceptionally high academic standards. Its student body includes international students from Italy, the UK, France and the USA.

During their visit to KOÇ, the ALBA student team visited the plant of ARÇELIK, one of the leading manufacturing companies in the field of home appliances, as well as TURKCELL Network Control Center, a leading telecommunications company. The ALBA team also attended two speeches especially organized for the occasion: one, by Dr. A. Somersan, Professor of Economics at KOÇ, who briefly analyzed the current economic conditions and future prospects in Turkey; another, by Hasan Çolakoglou, owner and CEO of TEB (Turkish Economy Bank) on 'The Banking Sector in Turkey: Past and Current Developments and Future Prospects'.

KOÇ officially announced its decision to offer again a full scholarship to a deserving Greek University graduate to attend its MBA Program on a part or full-time basis; the first scholarship for the KOÇ MBA Course for the Academic Year 1999-2001 had been offered to a business executive from SILVER & BARYTE ORES MINING S.A., an ALBA Corporate Member. The preselection of suitable candidates for the Academic Year 2001-2002 has once again been assigned to ALBA.
