Seraphim Voliotis

Dr. Voliotis teaches courses in the areas of applied Mathematics for business, applied Game Theory, Negotiations and Conflict Management, and Company Law at ALBA since 2003. In addition to the aforementioned, his main academic interests also lie in Strategy, Conflict Resolution, Ethics, and Criminal Law. He has conducted research in the area of Stochastic Integration (Operator Theory) and after a spell in the industry, where he has served as legal counsel and subsequently as Managing Director of two construction companies, he has returned to academia. He still maintains ties with practice being a professional negotiator and mediator, in fact being the second individual in Greece to be accredited back in 2003 by C.E.D.R., a leading conflict resolution organization in Europe. Throughout this period he has consulted on and successfully negotiated or mediated company mergers, a series of litigation disputes, and a number of national and international commercial deals. Being an ALBA Graduate Business School alumnus he has also been actively involved with the school’s affairs ever since his graduation in 2001 and has also served as Chairman of the Alumni Association Board. Dr. Voliotis has been teaching Negotiations and Strategic Decision Making at the Hellenic Navy Staff and Command College since 2008 and the Hellenic Air Force Staff and Command School since 2015. He further teaches Negotiations at the University of Cyprus MBA program since 2010. He is a member of the Bar of England and Wales and Lincoln’s Inn since 1995, of the Academy of Management and the Eastern Mediterranean Mediators Association.
