TITAN CEMENT Co. S.A. and ALBA jointly organized a public event on ''Marketing in the New Economy'', with Guest Speaker Dr. Prashant Malaviya, Associate Professor of Marketing at INSEAD.
The event was held in the framework of the ''TITAN - INSEAD VISITING PROFESSORS PROGRAM at ALBA 2001-2005'', inaugurated in September 2000. Dr. Malaviya was the first TITAN - INSEAD Visiting Professor in 2000-2001. He taught the Marketing Management course in the ALBA Professional MBA Program, in spring 2001.
In his speech, Dr. Malaviya referred to the challenges and opportunities offered by the Internet to those firms that implement a sound Internet-based strategy and focused on the need to establish and cultivate a long-lasting relationship with the consumer-customer, as well as on the importance of managing this relationship.
Addresses to the audience were made on behalf of the organizers by Dimitris Papalexopoulos, Managing Director of TITAN CEMENT Co. S.A. and Nikos Ebeoglou, Managing Director of ALBA, as well as by Ulysses Kyriacopoulos, ALBA's Chairman of the Board and Member of the INSEAD International Council, and Gabriel Hawawini, Dean of INSEAD, who was visiting Greece to participate in the 7th annual meeting of the ALBA Academic Council.
The event was attended by selected executives, ALBA and INSEAD Alumni, as well as executives from TITAN CEMENT Co. S.A..
Following the event, the Dean of INSEAD met with members of the INSEAD Hellenic Alumni Association.
