Education and Society: The broadened role of the teacher

The Athens College Alumni Association and the ALBA Alumni Association co-organize a special event on the social role of education, titled:

 ''EDUCATION AND SOCIETY: The Broadened Role of the Teacher''

The event will take place at the campus of the Athens College on Saturday, May 10th 2003 and the speakers will analyze the broadened role of teachers on all levels of education and will emphasize their ability to intervene on the students' personality.

The event's invited speakers are:

  1. Warren HELM, Head of Athens College - Psychico College Interschool English Department,
  2. Socrates KOUGEAS, Director of the High-School of the Athens College,
  3. Panos LAZARATOS, Associate Professor at the School of Law, Economics & Political Sciences, University of Athens, and
  4. Richard NIELSEN, Professor of Boston College, Director of Organization Studies (PhD Program) The Wallace E. Carroll School of Management.

The lectures will be followed by an open discussion between the speakers and the participants, which will be coordinated by Dr. Nickolaos Travlos, Dean, The Kitty Kyriacopoulos Chair in Finance, ALBA.
