Dr. Vlachos at OECD anti-corruption forum

Dr. Pavlos A. Vlachos, Associate Professor of Marketing, was invited to participate as a speaker and panel discussant in a high-level OECD conference focused on “Business and Civil Society in the Fight Against Corruption to Promote Sustainable Economic Development”. OECD, with the support of the General Secretariat Against Corruption and financing from the European Union, organised this High-Level Forum to promote and raise awareness on corruption prevention and private sector integrity and explore the role of civil society in the fight against corruption.

The conference tool place on  November 28 & 29 at Bank of Greece Head Office.

During the Forum

  • The OECD  launched its package of recommendation and measures to promote whistleblower protection, corporate compliance and corruption risk assessments in the private sector in Greece”
  • The Greek government  presented its efforts in preventing and fighting corruption in the private sector
  • Business and civil society discussed their role in the fight against corruption and in creating a level playing field for business in Greece

Dr. Vlachos offered insights and best practices on the role of business schools in the promotion of responsible business conduct and anti-corruption.
