ALBA participates in the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME)

Friday, 27/11/2009

ALBA Graduate Business School has become a participant of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) as of November 2009.  Participation in the PRME ensures that ALBA integrates Sustainability and Social Responsibility values in learning and teaching, research and day- to-day operations.  In particular,

The PRME is a voluntary engagement platform for business schools and management-related academic institutions. An academic institution that signs on to the PRME expresses its conviction that academic institutions, through integrating universal values into curriculum and research, can contribute to a more stable and inclusive global market and help build prosperous and thriving societies.

ALBA believes that PRME is an extremely important initiative for business education and consequently, for the business world and society at large, especially because of the changes and developments that have taken place in economy and society during the last decade.  It is, therefore, the first Greek Academic Institution to have become a participant in PRME.  Following an internal review process, ALBA made sure it fulfills all six (6) Principles for Responsible Management Education and is currently preparing its first review report.
