A great endeavor: Alba’s MSc in Finance and MSc in SHRM receive EPAS re-accreditation for the next 5 years!

We’ll never get bored of this kind of news.

Amid all this unpredictability, Alba, predictably, fulfills once again its high-quality promise and receives the prestigious EPAS nod for two of its programs, the MSc in Finance and the MSc in SHRM for the next 5 years!

This is the first time Alba’s MSc in HRM receives a 5-year re-accreditation and is currently the only Master in HR in the EPAS list that has 5 years accreditation. As for the MSc in Finance, this is the first time, following its launch, that it receives a 5-year re-accreditation

This honor is placing both programs in the elite group of programs that have received  the maximum accreditation for 5 years! Accreditation from EFMD is one of the best and most complete ways to certify the quality of a Business School. As of early March 2020, Alba proudly features, once again, among the 34 institutions among 18 countries to have a 5-year-accreditation and among a total of 89 institutions across 35 countries to have been EPAS-accredited!

According to the EFMD announcement "Alba Graduate Business School, The American College of Greece presents a synergy of strong corporate links with the academic strength of the resident and visiting international faculty. The faculty model enables the School to combine academic rigour, international exposure and a current practitioner focus in its programmes. The MSc in Strategic Human Resource Management programme has built secure connections with the world of practice and offers up-to-date content with exceptional research-active faculty. The MSc in Finance also enjoys a good reputation, which is proved by the quality of the graduates and their high placement rate. The rigorous and updated programme meets corporate needs."

Expressing his satisfaction with this new endeavor, Alba Dean, Dr. Kostas Axarloglou commented: “It is indeed with great pleasure to accept the re-accreditation of our Alba MSc in Finance and MSc in Human Resource Management Programs for the next five years. The EPAS re-accreditation, a major distinction for our Programs, reveals the high academic quality of both Programs and reflects the commitment of Alba on quality business education as well as on our continuous strive for academic excellence. And on that, the high academic standards of EFMD and EPAS are of great support.”

EPAS is an international program accreditation system operated by EFMD, an international not-for-profit association, based in Brussels, Belgium, and Europe's largest network association in the field of management development. EFMD is recognized globally as an accreditation body of quality in management education and has established accreditation services for business schools and business school programs, corporate universities and technology-enhanced learning programs.

EPAS aims to evaluate the quality of business and/or management degree programs that have an international perspective and, where of an appropriately high quality, to accredit them. The process involves a review in depth of individual programs through international comparison and benchmarking. EPAS was launched in 2005 and in the past 14 years has had a considerable impact on the quality of business school programs all over the world.

Alba is a member of EFMD (Management Development Network) since 2005 while in 2009, both the MSc in Finance and MSc in Strategic Human Resources programs were first accredited by EPAS/EFMD and, as of today, they are the only EPAS accredited programs in Greece.
