Prof. Jacobides, who was awarded the “Theory to Practice” Strategy Award at the 2018 Vienna Strategy Summit, will share fresh insights on competing through digital ecosystems and new business models. He will draw on his recent academic research (such as the Strategic Management Journal) and his practitioner publications (in Sloan Management Review and his forthcoming Harvard Business Review publication) and his work with practitioners and consultants (including BCG, where Prof. Jacobides is an Academic Advisor.) He will also draw on the World Economic Forum’s report on digital platforms and ecosystems, where Dr. Jacobides is one of the academic co-directors, to explain how the fourth industrial revolution is redefining winners and losers, leading to exciting new opportunities and new challenges on how firms can compete through digital platforms and ecosystems.

His talk will bridge fresh theory, empirical research and practice, given Prof. Jacobides’s executive work with large established global corporates and startups alike in Europe, the US and Asia.
